Pencil skirts are one of those wardrobe staples that are timeless. I decided on a chic monochromatic look with different textures and a few touches of gold. Lately I’ve been drawn to soft gold accents, especially bracelets and my Timex Dress Chronograph watch. I love the gold-tone mix of brushed and polished links at the band and large round face with date dial – a perfect mix of classic contemporary details.

This geometric print cardigan is the perfect piece for fall layering. It’s chic and adds an element of interest to any look, whether it be something monochromatic or with a splash of color. I paired it with a skinny pant and slim pointy boot to keep my look balanced. A few subtle gold accents and a pop of cobalt are nice finishing touches. Have a great Monday!

Pamela and Brook are two of my very dear friends that live here in Chicago. This body of work is a play on beauty and combines an interwoven mix of femininity and masculinity. The inspiration for this shoot was the culture of the Italian countryside of Campobasso.  The models are beautiful and have defined, sensual figures that are covered by black fabric and masculine details. The stereotype of the worker – a man dressed in black, wearing a peasant’s cap and white tank top. And the women covered in black fabric and lace details. I envisioned these images being high contrast black and white to exaggerate the obvious beauty of the female form. For more of my work visit Iacapraro Photography.

I love wearing a soft cable-knit sweater, it’s just so comfortable and cozy. I decided to keep it simple, and paired it with some gray denim and a neutral bag. The leather jacket adds some edge and a warm lip and sunnies brings it all together.

With a busy schedule, making a healthy and simple dinner is ideal during the week. Roasted potatoes are delicious, easy to make, and allow me to multitask everything else while they are in the oven. I recommend a glass of pinot noir as a balanced and smooth pairing.

3 organic potatoes, I prefer russet
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 medium sweet onion, sliced
2-3 sprigs of rosemary, finely chopped
3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 1/2 tbsp freshly ground pepper
____________________________________

Step 1:
Preheat oven to 350°. Wash and cube potatoes. Slice onion, mince garlic and chop rosemary.

Step 2:
Add spices, onions, and EVOO. Mix well in an iron skillet.

Step 3:
Roast in oven (convection is preferred) for approximately 40 minutes. Mix once.

Hat season is almost here. Which means, growing out my hair to sport these (necessary) knit accessories on a daily basis. Since the weather has been slightly warmer these past few days, I opted for a pair of leggings and oxfords. It’s nice to take a break from boots before they become my daily go-to shoe. A nylon crossbody is sleek and perfectly fits all my essentials for running errands.  What are some of your favorite cold-weather accessories?

Muted colors and cardigans have been on my radar this fall. I love the simplicity of this cozy (wiemaraner) gray sweater. It’s an easy piece to dress up or throw over a tee. A few subtle gold tones for jewelry and maroon lip bring everything together. And of course, a fun shoe. Take a peek at the other calf hair shoes I’ve been eyeing this season here.

An oversized cardigan is a comfy wardrobe staple. Especially if you live in the Midwest! As I mentioned here, I love to layer with sweaters. With the chilly fall weather we’ve been having, this has been a go-to look for me. A hint of lime with some over-the-knee boots keeps my neutrals fresh.
