knitwear: Banana Republic // pants: Vince // shoes: 3.1 Phillip Lim // bag: Barneys New York
I’m generally not big into trends, but I’m loving the sleeveless knit turtlenecks and backpack bags I’m seeing everywhere this fall. These are both great staples, and will transition well into winter and even spring (if you live in Chicago, all these seasons generally feel the same). I decided on a classic pointy flat and simple accessories.

It’s not always easy deciding what to wear in between seasons. Temps are all over the place, and how many layers and shoes can you really fit into your work bag? Lately, I’ve been choosing neutral colors, flowy fabrics and comfortable shoes. Keeping it simple and versatile. What are some of your favorite pieces to wear this time of year?
dress: Armani Exchange // shoes: Zara // shades: Marc by Marc Jacobs //
bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim
I picked up this dress earlier in the summer and it quickly turned into one of my favorite LBD! The drape is simple, yet it’s what makes the dress so interesting and elegant. I love the clean lines and breezy flow – it’s perfect for these hot summer days!
dress: Zara (similar here) // shades: Prada // bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim // sandals: Stuart Weitzman
This summer has been extra busy with events and days at the beach! The temps these past few weeks in Chicago have been in the upper 8os with full sunshine – my ideal weather! So, I’ve been wearing dresses and lightweight fabrics on repeat, like this linen dress. Summer, please last forever!
dress: Vince // bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim // shades: Marc by Marc Jacobs // sandals: Schettino di Capri
I love this popover dress I picked up a few months ago at Nordstrom Rack. The cap sleeves, v-neckline and soft silk make this an easy go-to dress for warmer weather. Since this dress has a subtle pattern, I decided on minimal accessories and classic pieces for a polished look.
top: Mango // jeans: Old Navy // bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim // shades: Céline // sandals: Schettino di Capri
Clean lines and simple pieces are always my favorite. I love the pop of this snakeskin top with a pair of white denim and bold black accessories. It’s fresh for spring and can easily transition from the office to drinks on a patio!
shirt: Marc by Marc Jacobs // pants: Vince // bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim // shoes: Zara // shades: Prada
For classic pieces, I always shop quality over quantity. Without a doubt I’m going to wear that soft silk top, knit cashmere cardigan and classic leather bag over and over and feel great each time. I love this sleeveless shirt I just picked up at Nordstrom Rack, it’s perfect for these warm spring days and a great piece to layer under a cardigan in the fall.
tee: Acne Studios // jeans: Acne Studios // sneakers: Vince // shades: Céline
Nothing is easier than a black tee and a pair of blue jeans – especially when you can decide on what you want to wear! I love the bold pop of these jeans, they look so fresh for spring and add a nice amount of color to my look.
shirt: Zara // bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim // shades: Marc by Marc Jacobs // flats: 3.1 Phillip Lim // lip: NARS – Rikugien
Today’s look is all about dressing for cooler spring temperatures. A long sleeve button up shirt over a tee, jeans, and pointy flats make for a warm and casual combination.
top: Zara // skirt: H&M // shoes: 3.1 Phillip Lim // shades: Céline // lip: YSL – Rose Stiletto
I usually stay away from mid-length skirts and dresses since they make me feel shorter. But I love the pattern and flow of this one I picked up at H&M. Simple and chic! I decided on a slim pointy toe flat, though this is look great with a heeled sandal this Summer.
