While I love summer and it’s my favorite time of year, I do look forward to wearing layers as the weather cools down. I picked up this leather jacket a few weeks ago when I was in Bruges, Belgium. I’ve been looking for a leather jacket for awhile and unexpectedly found this one when out shopping one afternoon. I love the clean lines and subtle texture; it’s easily dressed up or down with jeans and heels or boots. What are some of you favorite go-to pieces in-between seasons?
With the weather being so mild these past few weeks in Chicago, I’m thinking spring fashion! I’m loving all the patchwork, embroidery, volume and texture trending on the runways and streets. Metallic and blush pinks are still everywhere, and I love it! Also, the logo belt buckle is making a strong comeback.
Finally transitioning into warmer weather with light knitwear. Loafers and slip-on sneakers are my go-to shoes for spring. For this look I kept it casual with distressed denim, neutral knitwear and black accessories. To keep it feminine, I chose a driving loafer and a brighter lip for a pop of color. What are some of your favorite transition pieces for spring?
It felt like spring this past weekend in Chicago! I’m pretty sure the entire city was out and about enjoying the sunshine and temps in the 60’s! So I took this opportunity to shed some layers and play with some spring styling. I love the cut and length of this button down. It feels fresh and has great movement with the extra long back. As aways, keeping it classic and minimal.
I hope everyone had a Happy New Year! It’s cold and icy in Chicago, so layers and heavy knitwear are a must. I picked up this high collar sweater in Italy last week and absolutely love it! It’s been on repeat these past few days.
It’s not always easy deciding what to wear in between seasons. Temps are all over the place, and how many layers and shoes can you really fit into your work bag? Lately, I’ve been choosing neutral colors, flowy fabrics and comfortable shoes. Keeping it simple and versatile. What are some of your favorite pieces to wear this time of year?

Clean lines and simple pieces are always my favorite. I love the pop of this snakeskin top with a pair of white denim and bold black accessories. It’s fresh for spring and can easily transition from the office to drinks on a patio!
A black blazer is a wardrobe staple. It pulls a look together and can easily be dressed up or down. All-black with a pop of snakeskin is effortless and chic, and a bold lip adds just the right amount of color. What are some of your wardrobe must-haves?
Merhaba from Istanbul! Here’s an example of what I’ve been wearing while visiting some friends in Turkey. And what better setting for a shoot than the Topkapi Palace. The weather here has mostly been hot and sunny, so lightweight fabrics are a must. I picked up these pants while shopping near Taksim Square the other day and they are quickly becoming a favorite! I’ve always loved snakeskin, especially on shoes and accessories. So when I found this sleeveless shirt in a subtle color, it was meant to be! I paired it with a slim pant and casual sandal. Also, I’m totally into these sporty sandals you’re seeing everywhere right now. In case you’re looking for a casual Summer sandal, here are a few more I highlighted last week. Have a great Monday!
