‘Tis the season for holiday parties. Since most begin right after work, a desk-to-drink look is best. For me, it’s black with a play on textures and subtle gold accents. All-day comfort is important, too. If you’re not one to wear heels all day, don’t start now! Hobbling into the party isn’t the way to go, so bring those heels with you to slip on right before heading out. Freshen your makeup and add a bold lip, like YSL – Le Rouge.

Sometimes it’s nice to take a break from winter’s heavy fabrics and switch to a delicate floral print. Neutrals pair nicely with this muted print, keeping the pants the main focal point. I love the oversized collar on this wool coat – it’s perfect for those (frequent) blustery winter days.

It’s so rare for me to wear skirts in the winter.  I really do love the idea of it; wool skirts, tights, and fun boots! It’s just so difficult for me to agree to the idea of not wearing pants and knee high socks in bone-chilling temperatures lasting for months. Though, on occasion it does happen! I needed a change and opted for the warmest pieces in my closet to do so. Hope you’re having a great week!

Throughout the week, I’m usually busy running errands and doing so in comfort.  Since the temperatures have dipped into the teens, layers and wool are an absolute necessity! I decided on a cozy sweater and large pashmina for warmth. A black puffer coat and casual boots complete my look for running around the city.

When going though my sweaters the other day, I found this graphic print from a few seasons ago. While I’ve been drawn to more minimalistic pieces this fall, it’s always fun to switch things up. I decided to pair it with some cargo pants and black boots for a relaxed look.

One of my cold weather staples is a warm puffer coat. I’m always cold, so layers and more layers are how I make it though a Chicago winter. I love the huge collar on this (super) soft cardigan. The over-sized buttons and front pockets make this a great option to wear with jeans or pair it with a skirt and tights.
