I decided to embrace a few shades of blue today and went for a casual look. This cotton/linen blend tee is super comfy and perfect for the warmer spring days ahead. A slouchy hobo bag and slip-on sandals seem to be the right choice for a busy day running around.

A pair of distressed jean sorts, v-neck tee and sandals are usually my Summer uniform! Chicago has been receiving cooler temps and a lot of rain these past few months. While this is better than snow and sub-zero temperatures; some real heat and sunshine would be awesome! Especially since this past weekend marked the beginning of Summer!

Summer time calls for Summer shades! Even if I do wear sunglasses year round, it’s always nice to add a new pair to your collection. Here are a few classics that can easily be worn year after year, and with a variety of outfits. I like to think of a pair of sunglasses as I do a great investment bag; quality over quantity.

Today’s ensemble is a mix of two of my staples: knitwear and black. I love the contrasting large and small knit gauges on this sweater. Even though it’s a heavy kit, the raglan sleeves give it a chic and refined finish. I kept it simple with a black skinny pant and coat. A bold red lip gives my look the right amount of pop.
