The climate in Chicago can be really dry, especially during the fall and winter months. My skin becomes dry and irritated due to the weather and constant need to have the furnace running. I’ve just started using Curél – Hydra Therapy and I love how soft and moisturized my skin feels. It’s a wet skin moisturizer, so applying it to freshly showered skin is key. It’s a water activated ceramide formula that hydrates the skin’s surface and helps to keep in moisture. It may feel strange applying a moisturizer to damp skin, though the benefits are worth it!
This post was a collaboration with Curél. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting collaborations with Taffeta and Cedar!

It’s been a pretty mild fall in Chicago – warmer temps and there are still green leaves on the trees! I’ve been able to layer different knits and I’ve just started wearing boots and sweaters. I love the large knit and texture of this sweater from IRO. It’s just the right amount of warmth, and look at those extra long sleeves! What are some of your favorite knits and sweaters this season?

If you haven’t noticed, black is my favorite color to wear. It’s classic, effortless and chic. I enjoy seeing color, just not wearing it. I picked up this frayed blazer a few weeks ago to add to my collection of black jackets and blazers…becasue they all look completely different. Seriously, they do! I feel like this will be a fall favorite and I can’t wait to layer it over some heavier knitwear.

It’s October, I guess that means it’s time to pack away the summer sandals and switch to boots and close-toed shoes
for six long months. I do love a classic boot, jeans and comfy sweater or tee. A simple, yet polished look for the weekend or even the office. What boots do you have your eye on this fall?

Overalls, a crisp button down and loafers are the perfect combination of comfort and easy styling. It’s beginning to feel and look like fall in Chicago, so it’s time to start making that switch to longer sleeves, layers and boots. What are some of your go-to pieces when transitioning into the cooler fall weather?

If you’re thinking about updating your interior space for fall, here are few home decor items from Target. Their home section never disappoints and seems to just keep getting better! Here are a few accessories that I have my eye on to update our home office.
top: A.P.C. // jeans: Old Navy // slides: Zara love this pair! // bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim // shades: Céline
Stripes and denim are a classic combo. I love the button detail on the shoulder, it’s a little pop of asymmetry and extra interest. This shirt is the perfect weight and softness for cooler temps, too! Slides and mules are still big thing and I love them, as I mentioned here. So, I had to add these fluffy shoes into my fall wardrobe!
A few items to make that transition away from summer and into fall less painful!

I love the look of an oversized boxy button down and jeans. It’s comfortable, yet still looks polished with the right accessories. I picked up these nude loafers in Rome last month and seem to be wearing them on repeat these past few days. Happy Wednesday!
