I am SO ready for spring to arrive! Here are a few spring pieces, plus some trend items to add into the mix this year. Logos are still going strong and are a fun way to add a pop to any look. I’m also noticing small dainty bags are having a moment, though fanny packs are still all the rage! Always quality over quantity – all of these pieces can easily transition into summer and even early fall wardrobes! What are some of your favorite spring pieces and trends this year?
Let’s just focus on love this Valentine’s Day. Whether it’s with your honey or with your best friends, the main thing is to celebrate love and compassion – especially with the current state of affairs in the US. I can’t think of a better time than now to share the gift of love and showing someone that you care. Here are a few treats to spoil your Valentine!
Here are a few items to make that transition into spring a whole lot easier. Accessories and a lip color are easy to refresh. And who doesn’t love a new lipstick? Neutrals are my go-to, so adding a few new staples and texture into the mix is a great way to build on an existing wardrobe. What are some of your favorite pieces and trends this spring?
It’s always refreshing to switch to lighter aromas and softer colors for Spring. Here are a few of my favorites. I generally stick to a natural palette and will occasionally wear a bold lip or something with extra shine. I’m really loving the Fiona Stiles Lip Balm as of late. It’s the perfect amount of shine to wear alone or layer over a lipstick – and it’s super moistening! Oh, you can never go wrong with a luxe mascara that adds volume with a single stroke!
Winter has really arrived in Chicago, as I write this post it’s a only 9°F/-13°C outside. Hence my inspiration for heavy knitwear and extra-warm accessories. I’m really loving that Mongolian fur scarf! Cold weather always calls for a moody lip, and what better than a deep plum from Chanel.
The humidity in Chicago over the past month is comparable to the tropics, but without the heat or sunshine! So, what this means for anyone with oily skin, is a big change in your daily skincare routine. As I mentioned here, I’ve been using the Hydra Beauty Gel Créme from Chanel, and love it. I’ve recently added the Mousse Exfoliante Pureté and Lotion Pureté from Chanel into my daily skincare routine. The Mousse Exfoliante Pureté helps to eliminate excess sebum and control surface oils, leaving my skin feeling fresh andmatte. The Lotion Pureté is depolluting with tulip tree extract and also has meadowsweet extract to help control excess sebum. These two additions have helped to keep my skin looking less shinny and more balanced in this sticky summer weather.
A change in temperature and season calls for a change in your daily skincare routine. My skin is very oily and when the humidity rises, it’s time to switch to a lighter moisturizer. I’ve started using the Hydra Beauty Gel Créme from Chanel, and I love it! The Hydra Gel Créme has active ingredients that promote optimal moisture retention within skin cells and antioxidants for protection. Not only does it feel light in texture to the touch, it’s smells gorgeous!
This limited edition L’Intemporel de Chaneleyeshadow palette is gorgeous! Not only are the colors bold, it’s embossed with the leather-braided chain of the iconic 2.55 bag. It’s almost too pretty to use!
