Here are a few items to make that transition into spring a whole lot easier. Accessories and a lip color are easy to refresh. And who doesn’t love a new lipstick? Neutrals are my go-to, so adding a few new staples and texture into the mix is a great way to build on an existing wardrobe. What are some of your favorite pieces and trends this spring?

Sally Hansen’s Miracle Gel™ – Flushed Wanderer & Top Coat

Who doesn’t love having a great manicure?! I especially love the shine and longevity of a gel manicure. However, making routine trips to the nail salon is time-consuming and can add up quickly. I was excited to try a few of the new Sally Hansen’s Miracle Gel™ – Voyager Collection shades at home! The collection has pretty neutrals and a few pops of color. My at-home manicure was easy to apply and it dried quickly. Win-win! The gel manicure system is a no light needed application and comes with a Miracle Gel™ 2X Volume top coat. The plumping top coat should be used together with the Miracle Gel™ shades and can last up to 14 days! AND you can remove your mani with regular nail polish remover, so no trip the the salon. Check out more colors and the entire Voyager Collection here.

This post was a collaboration with Sally Hansen. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting collaborations with Taffeta and Cedar!

You can never go wrong when pairing black and dark denim together for a look. I love the layered panels and flow of this silk blouse from COS. They are so good at chic pieces with interesting details! A neutral bag and shoes add just the right amount of texture and subtle color. What are some of your go-to color combinations for Spring?

You know I love clean lines and minimalistic styling. So when I discovered this crisp white blouse with a vented back shirttail, I immediately added it to my spring wardrobe. I’ve also been swapping out dark denim for lighter blues these past few weeks. Feeling optimistic for Spring.  Really, I’m just hoping for warmer weather and fresh blooms in Chicago!

I’m all about pairing sneakers with elevated basics for a casual look. I love clean lines and classic pieces that are versatile and can be dressed up or down. Back skinny jeans and a white tee are wardrobe essentials. I added an oversized scarf for texture, black sneakers with crisp white laces and my go-to backpack. Easy and chic styling for spring.

Finally transitioning into warmer weather with light knitwear. Loafers and slip-on sneakers are my go-to shoes for spring. For this look I kept it casual with distressed denim, neutral knitwear and black accessories. To keep it feminine, I chose a driving loafer and a brighter lip for a pop of color. What are some of your favorite transition pieces for spring?
