A black blazer is a wardrobe staple. It pulls a look together and can easily be dressed up or down. For texture I added an oversized scarf and cinched the waist with a slim belt. I’ve been growing out my hair for a few months. I’m sticking with it, though it’s reached an awkward length. I’ve been wearing it curly and occasionally wrapping it up with silk scarves to get me through the process!

We had some really cold temps this past weekend in Chicago. Cold enough to get out my puffer coat and warmer layers. For this look, I kept it classic with dark colors and elevated basics. You can never go wrong with cozy turtlenecks, boots, and extra-warm layers when you live in the Midwest!

It’s been a pretty mild fall in Chicago – warmer temps and there are still green leaves on the trees! I’ve been able to layer different knits and I’ve just started wearing boots and sweaters. I love the large knit and texture of this sweater from IRO. It’s just the right amount of warmth, and look at those extra long sleeves! What are some of your favorite knits and sweaters this season?

Overalls, a crisp button down and loafers are the perfect combination of comfort and easy styling. It’s beginning to feel and look like fall in Chicago, so it’s time to start making that switch to longer sleeves, layers and boots. What are some of your go-to pieces when transitioning into the cooler fall weather?

I love the look of an oversized boxy button down and jeans. It’s comfortable, yet still looks polished with the right accessories. I picked up these nude loafers in Rome last month and seem to be wearing them on repeat these past few days. Happy Wednesday!

While I love summer and it’s my favorite time of year, I do look forward to wearing layers as the weather cools down. I picked up this cropped jacket over the weekend and can’t wait to add it into my fall routine. I love the clean line and subtle texture it has; it’s easily dressed up or down with jeans and heels or loafers. What are some of you favorite go-to pieces in-between seasons?
blazer: Zara similar // shades: Prada // shorts: Zara similar // slides: Old Navy // bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim
A pair of distressed shorts and simple tee are perfect for summer. To keep it polished, edit your casual look with a pair of slides, blazer, and simple clutch or backpack. I love minimalism and clean lines, so I went with neutrals and elevated basics.
dress: Armani Exchange // bag: COS similar // shoes: Vince Camuto // shades: Prada
I love the clean lines and deep v-neck on this shift dress. We will be attending a wedding in Croatia soon, and I thought this would be a great dress to wear to the rehearsal dinner. It’s classic, comfortable and has just the right about of sass!
jumpsuit: Old Navy // shades: Prada // bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim // shoes: Zara similar
I love the wide-leg on this flowy jumpsuit! Rompers and jumpsuits are always a summer go-to for me. You can easily dress them up for a night out with heels, or go casual with flats for the office. I picked this one up at Old Navy last week…it’s on sale now! Where are some of your favorite rompers/jumpsuits from?

I love having short hair, it’s been variations of short for over 10 years. I tried growing it out this past winter and it was
torture uncomfortable. Though in the warmer months I like having it out of my face, especially when it’s humid or while I’m at the beach. Since I’m not a fan of bobby pins and clips, my solution is a large scarf. Yes, it’s that simple and pretty chic, too!
